Well, for the last couple of days I’ve clearly been spending waaayyy too much time in the Internet Marketing forums. Actually I get stuck in there because I went in there to do some research on what to blog about, and get stuck reading all the great posts.
Of course the Warriorforum.com is my favorite, but there are a ton of really great advanced ones out there too.
Alright, anyways…one of the questions I kept seeing over and over again in all the different forums was the one above…the title of this post… “What’s the Best Way to Make Money Online for Newbie’s?” In one way or another that question was asked a gazillion times.
It got my wheels spinning and so I thought I’d write down some of my thoughts.
First off, it’s sort of a difficult question because there’s not really a one size fits all answer.
For instance there are newbie’s who have all the time in the world, and there are those who get to squeeze in a couple of hours a night.
There are some who have money to throw into advertising, and there areothers who have to dig in the couch cushions, and still money from the tip jar at the I.M. Tiki Bar just to get hosting for a website.
So it really depends on your situation.
But here’s the deal. I do think there is one best method for a newbie to make money, and I’ll get into that in a moment.
But if you really want to make money without a lot of the headache that a lot of newbie’s face….then there are some things that you shouldn’t do – so let’s cover those first today. (I know, I know…but just bare with the darned “shouldn’t” list for now would you)… (Don’t make you toss you out of the Tiki Lounge)…
Shouldn’t Do #1
You shouldn’t learn and read about 101 different methods of making money online before you get started doing something. This is going to cause you some serious analysis paralysis and set you back months, or possibly years. Believe me I know!
Shouldn’t Do #2
You shouldn’t get on every mailing list you come across… (Although you should look over to the right and get on mine ;).
By getting on a zillion mailing lists you’re going to end up with a zillion pitches for some great sounding products every single day. That will just lead to you learning a zillion different methods before doing anything.
Shouldn’t Do #3
I hardly hear this one but it’s a huge deterrent. You shouldn’t enable signature files in internet marketing forums. These will lead to the same problems above once again. And as a “shouldn’t” number 3.5…you shouldn’t spend more than a couple of minutes a day in the forums anyways. If you do go in, just look for the post’s that are relevant to your current methods and that’s it!
Okay…one more.
Shouldn’t Do #4
You shouldn’t listen to all that dorks that make you feel stupid for trying to make money online…especially the one’s who are slugging away at a job they hate every single day. They will try to bring YOU down every chance they get because you’re trying something different. Don’t let them affect you, no matter who they are.
Soon enough, if you don’t let yourself get distracted and paralyzed…you’ll prove them VERY wrong.
Alright keep an eye out for the “should do” list soon. J

Hi Troy,
Couldn’t agree more with “Shouldn’t Does #1 & 2″…
The best: once you unsubscribe you won’t even miss the emails and you can focus on implementing whatever business model you pick.
And with implementation comes self confidence and success

Yes. This was something that took me a while to learn, and even now I find my A.D.D. kicking in and wanting to sign up for all the shiny new objects. I basically have had to start a brand new email address because of the time it would take to unsubscribe to all of those lists I’m on. LOL
But it’s worth it.
I’ve actually began to do the same on Twitter as well. I’m very particular these days of who I’ll follow for very long. Everyone gets half a chance, but if what they’re sending isn’t helpful, informative, or at least funny then they’re out of here.
Thanks for the comment Christoph!
